These are an exciting opportunity for delegates to get an understanding and challenge their strategic thinking regarding digital transformation, cyber security and artificial intelligence (AI).

These masterclasses are available only as part of a QuattroTech™ 2018 registration.

They are scheduled on 28 February 2018 and 1 March 2018 and will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Digital Transformation Strategy Masterclass

Date: 28 February 2018

Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Today’s senior leaders and Board directors face a critical dilemma - embrace digital transformation and remain a leader or embrace the status quo and become a laggard.

Surveys done by Bain & Co, a leading management consultancy, show that across every industry revenues at digital leaders grow more than twice as fast, as those at the laggards. And, profits follow a similar pattern.

However, the biggest challenge is in capturing these opportunities. Of all participants in the surveys, only 5% achieved or exceeded expectations, while 20% produced less than half of the desired outcome.

This masterclass is designed to allow senior leaders and Board Directors get an understanding of the opportunities, success factors and pitfalls in digital transformation, analyse real-life success stories and create a blueprint of digital transformation for their organisations.

Cybersecurity Strategy Masterclass

Date: 28 February 2018

Time: 1:30pm - 5:30pm

In 2017, for the first time, cybercrime hit mainstream news in a significant way. The impact of WannaCry, to name one major attack, resulting in 20,000+ cancelled medical appointments and 600+ GP surgeries going back to pen and paper, brought home the critical need for sound cybersecurity strategy.

Developing an effective cybersecurity strategy revolves around knowing what to do, what maturity level is required, and most importantly, how to get there. It defines the extent of an organisation’s reach and the scope of their cybersecurity maturity intentions.

This masterclass is designed to provide an understanding of the nature and impact of cybersecurity risks, provide an overview of the regulatory environment and upcoming changes and identify the essential elements of a cybersecurity strategy for the whole organisation. Additionally, the masterclass includes a practical component where participants will work on developing an initial cybersecurity strategy for their organisations.

Artificial Intelligence Strategy Masterclass

Date: 1 March 2018

Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

In the last 2 years Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made significant inroads into our lives and organisations. We now have machines that can beat humans at games more complex than chess, such as GO and Poker; self-driving cars and digital assistants. And, all of these advancements are powered largely by Artificial Intelligence.

Outside the consumer realm, the importance of Artificial Intelligence for organisations cannot be understated. According to IDG, a global market intelligence leader, “By 2019, 40% of digital transformation initiatives will be supported by Cognitive/AI capabilities, providing critical on-time insights for new operating and monetization models.” Furthermore, by 2022 nearly 40% of operational processes will be self-healing and self-learning, minimising the need for human intervention.

This masterclass is designed to allow senior leaders and Board Directors get an understanding of the benefits and opportunities of AI and the steps required for its successful introduction. Participants in the Masterclass will learn what are the key components of an Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the required resources. The Masterclass will also cover the success factors and potential issues an organisation will face when starting with Artificial Intelligence. At the end of the Masterclass, delegates will take part in a practical exercise, where they will prepare a roadmap for AI introduction into their organisations and plan for an AI “proof-of-concept” project.
